Remarkable Coincidence

What do you think are the odds of this happening?

Somewhere on the other side of the world, a blogger clicks on the Blogger "Next Blog" function. Out of eight or nine million blogs in the world, he is randomly brought to your blog. He doesn't leave a comment. He might not even have read your blog for more than two seconds. But you know he's dropped by because a link to his own blog shows up on the "Who's Been Visiting" section of your blog. You click on the link, you read his blog for a few seconds, notice his real name and nickname, and then you move on and forget about it.

A couple of days later, you're at the Times Bookshop warehouse sale at the Singapore Expo. Out of thousands of books, you browse and choose a dozen books on assorted topics - psychology, religion, sports, books for the kids etc. When you get home, you start reading your new books. Suddenly you notice the name (and nickname) of the author of one of the books. You realise that the book is written by the very same blogger who had earlier dropped by on your blog!

This just happened to me. Right here on Mr Wang Says So!.

"What a coincidence! We're amazed, Mr Wang!"

Cool story. I've never checked to see whose visiting & not signing. Love the bunny/kitty photo.

I just realised belatedly that the author himself might not have actually visited my blog (I'm not that sure of how the "Next Blog" function works).

More likely it was another blogger bloghopping by continually clicking on the "Next Blog" button. He went to the author's blog, and from there he clicked on "Next Blog" again, and came to mine, thereby causing the link to show up on my blog ... :(

But still, a remarkable coincidence.
