Mr Wang Has Psychic Powers

Nah. He just has a highly developed sense for detecting danger. Like Spiderman.

Mr Wang's sixth sense tells him that he's been writing just a little too much about politics recently. This being Singapore, Mr Wang has decided that for the next few weeks, his choice of topics here on the Good Karma blog must be more Obviously Non-Political in Nature.

Some regular readers may be disappointed. Well, apologies.

I have not yet decided what else to blog about. But I expect to write about some of my interests outside the sphere of Singapore politics and current affairs.

"I'm very disappointed, Mr Wang. Obviously you don't trust me,
even though I'd said in 2004 that one of my goals as PM
is to make Singapore an open society."

So what if Mr Wang continues to write about politics which interest him? What laws does Mr Wang break?

ISA? Sedition Act? PEA? MDA?

Wasn't much of a blogger. Started one a year ago and didn't know what to do with it. After reading your blog and yawningbread, I decided to start documenting my thoughts on things. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on many things especially the sides of law we common people do not see. Emailed you this article.. http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/sub/life/story/0,5562,383280,00.html maybe u can comment on it.. less to do with elections and local politics I suppose.

Well, well. Mr Wang might be required to register his blog with MDA, if he writes so much about politics.

Then Mr Wang would become subject to whether they want to impose in their licence requirements for the Good Karma blog.

Wouldn't that be a nuisance?

And don't you think that MDA would probably become more active in monitoring the Internet for political websites approximately around now, with the elections around the corner?

Wise move, Mr Wang. Besides, there are so many people out there talking about politics.

but i wish i can do something about all these unjust laws...

Perfectly understandable- we do live under a climate of fear afterall. I am sure Mr Wang wouldn't want to put on his knuckledusters in a cul de sac

I find it ridiculous that anyone with a political opinion and just want to express on his/her blog has to be monitored and register with the government. Where is the "open society" the LHL preached not too long ago? I think you should just write on until they request you to register....

"People should not fear their government. The government should fear the people."

They say you can't talk about Politics DURING the Election period right? :P

Aw, Mr Wang, don't give up so easily, you need to show your kid/s how to stand up like a man. Besides, you can still comment on politics so long as you don't "propagate, promote or politicise" issues. And DON'T ever post pictures of the election rallies, the PAP is always embarassed about the poor turnout at their dog and cat show, even after roping in all the NTUC staff.

The less said the better at this point in time.

Have a good weekend Mr Wang!

i wish Mr Wang can tell us what he thinks about the fact that S.C Davinder Singh has only raised 2 questions in parliament over the past 4 years; in contrast, over the same period, Steve Chia asked 511 questions. Quality over quantity?

Come on! your readers want to know what u think about politics. If Alex Au keeps blogging about politics, why are u afraid to?
